The SAFHE/CEASA 2011 has taken place in Johannesburg from 6th to 8th April at the Birchwood Hotel & OR Tambo Conference Centre, Boksburg close to the OR Tambo International Airport.
The biennial SAFHE/CEASA (Organised by: South African Federation of Hospital Engineering & Clinical Engineering Association South Africa) has established itself as a flagship event for all people involved in the provision of healthcare facilities and services in Southern Africa. It provides a balanced mix of speakers from both the private and public sectors stimulating challenging debates on the roles of the respective sectors.
This year’s theme, MORE for LESS – Healthcare Delivery in a Resource Constrained Environment challenges all sectors to seriously examine their costs infrastructure and exploit every opportunity to search for ways of reducing costs and improving performance and service delivery.
S-CAPE had the honour together with HUTZ MEDICAL to display the MEDICAL MULTI-CONSOLE D1-42 with a TOUCH FREE pendant mounted monitor; a solution for surgeons to control their workflow and digital information directly at hand in a hygienic environment. The MMC D1-42 was mounted in the theatre panel HU12 with the “touch free” monitor fitted in a ceiling mounted HU6 pendant.Also displayed within the MMC was an integrated VIDEO MANAGEMENT CONTROL solution for an operating-field-camera mounted in a SOLARIS/SIMEOM LED theatre light.
